El Mercat del Ram de Vic és una fira que de mica en mica va anar superant els mateixos límits de la ciutat vella de Vic, i ara les diferents activitats s'estenen per tota la capital d'Osona. L'activitat més tradicional del Mercat del Ram de Vic, cada any és, i de fet li dóna nom, el mercat de palmes i llorers que se celebra el Dissabte de Rams al matí a la Plaça Major i al carrer Verdaguer, i esdevé el mercat més adient per al Diumenge de Rams.[1] Hi trobarem palmes extraordinàriament decorades i treballades, palmons grans i palmons petits i també no hi falten els llorers que, en molts casos, ja estaran ben florits.
