Description
In the last decade of the 19th century, American drawer, engraver and poster artist Henry Atwell Thomas decided to devote himself to artistic posters. On 1897, he won a poster competition announced by Belgian newspaper “L'Éclair”, beating 500 competitors. Jules Chéret reproduced this poster on his magazine “Les Maîtres de l'affiche”. Magnificent Art Nouveau poster, printed in lithography by Imp. Chaix, linen backed, B- condition. Dimensions in inches: 31.9 x 22.4''.
