Description
This lithograph poster is a sort of typographer's paradise: there are 13 different font styles! This highly decorative and colourful work is a great example of the style of the time, when artists used to freely experiment with the innovative new medium: the ad poster. “A glass before each meal stimulates the appetite” claims the young, traditionally dressed woman holding a tiny glass of the liquor while rubbing her stomach. Despite the bold statement (“an aperitif without a rival”), the brand has disappeared into history. Linen backed, A condition. Dimensions in inches: 57.5 x 41.7''.
