Description
Lithograph poster promoting "Le roi s'ennuie" (a classic literary and vaudeville conceit in which a monarch grows weary of having everything and needs to be entertained), performed at the Folies-Bergère. Alfred Choubrac was specialised in creating show posters for the parisian scene: he created more than 100 posters for Théâtre des Variétés, Théâtre du Châtelet, Folies Bergères, Opéra comique, Moulin Rouge, Casino de Paris, Eldorado, Cirque Fernando and many more, establishing himself as one of the most important poster artists of his time.
