Description

Josep Artigas was always a lover of climbing, skiing and mountain sports. He practiced them as a young man and was always a member of the Center Excursionista de Catalunya, the CEC, where he had many friends. It is not surprising that many assignments, whether professional or not, were linked to the world of sports, from announcing and promoting the various events organized to advertising the products marketed by companies specialized in the field of sports. 'ski. In fact, in his early years as a graphic designer, Artigas was in charge of promoting and advertising a flagship store in Barcelona, Bavillesset, which specializes in sports equipment. He designed ads for the press, brochures, seasonal product catalogs and commercial bags, many original works and some examples of which are also deposited in the CRAI UB Library as pieces in the Artigas archive.
