ROYAL MAIL LINES. ROUND VOYAGES TO BRAZIL-URUGUAY-ARGENTINA

El ANDES e incorpo ró al servicio de Southampton – Buenos Aires el 8 de octubre de 1948 y fue desguazado en 1958, dado tiempos cambiantes en la Argentina además de  una competencia severa del transporte aéreo y la próxima incorporación de tres buques nuevos a Royal Mail,  hizo que el empleo del ANDES en la ruta de América del Sur no fuera rentable.  Fue convertido en un crucero de pasajeros en 1959-60, llevando 480 pasajeros en clase única hasta que fue vendido en 1970 para desguace a una empresa belga.

C  Designates a poster in fair condition. Tears, blemish, fold marks and or paper loss are more pronounced or may slightly affect the image of the poster. Colours may be faded.
