Description
Big size lithograph poster advertising Job smoking paper, showing... a kid smoking! (until the 1960s, it was common to advertise smoking to children, using images of other children or reassuring/inspirational figures such as Santa Claus or athletes). Some of the best poster artists of the beginning of the century worked for the smoking paper brand Job: Gervais, Cappiello, Mucha and Casas (among others) created advertising calendars, posters and postcards, putting in practice the main concept of the Art Nouveau: to “marry” Art and Industry. Lithograph poster printed by Camis.
