- L’antiga fàbrica de maquinària agrícola J Trepat. Context històric i econòmic. La Tàrrega de finals del segle XIX i del primer terç del segle XX va saber conjuminar un ancestral esperit mercantil, amb un renovat orgull que s’identificava plenament amb aquest passat comercial i, tot això, ho va transformar la societat targarina en font d’energia per a connectar-se a la maquinària dels sistema capitalista i d’aquesta manera de la ma de l’economia productiva i del progrés tecnològic, aquella societat, anava espolsant-se, progressivament, unes pràctiques i unes mentalitats de la vella societat de l’Antic Règim.
