Description
La agricultura es muy vulnerable ante las adversidades climáticas. La utilización del seguro agrario cuyos orígenes se pueden datar en el año 1919 con la creación de la Mutualidad Nacional del Seguro Agropecuario ha sido muy desigual y escasa. Con anterioridad a la Ley 87/1978, se alternaron fórmulas de aseguramiento unas privadas y otras de carácter público que tenían por objeto la cobertura de los riesgos de pedrisco e incendio en la agricultura y de los accidentes de los animales en la ganadería.
El seguro agrario con la Ley 87/1978 de Seguros Agrarios Combinados recoge, por primera vez, que todos los riesgos son asegurables si son viables técnica y actuarialmente
